Alexandra Donnelly Alexandra Donnelly is a Primary Care Paramedic working in Calgary, Alberta. Prior to becoming a paramedic, she completed a B.Sc. in Cellular, Molecular and Microbial Biology and a Master’s of Biomedical Technology, both from the University of Calgary. She worked as a Project Manager and Senior Consultant in healthcare at the provincial and national levels, implementing various healthcare initiatives, including the EMS Palliative and End-of-Life Care Assist, Treat and Refer program and evidence-based care for Heart Failure and COPD patients in Alberta. Her focus was on utilizing a mixed-methods approach to design knowledge translation and implementation strategies. She completed a Master’s Certificate in Health Systems Management from the University of Regina. Alexandra has an interest in teaching and was a contract instructor for the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology within the School of Health and Public Safety. Currently, she is completing an Advanced Care Paramedic Diploma from Portage College and a Master’s of Health Administration from the University of Regina. In her spare time, she plays soccer and pickleball, and during the summer months, she is an avid cyclist and enjoys paddleboarding on the beautiful lakes throughout Alberta. |
